PROgrammes
SFCG has evolved over the years. We started by improving the livelihoods of women
and children in some rural areas in Ga rural.
An SOS message to support some struggling senior high school students in 2017
shifted our focus to mentoring, nurturing and preparing some selected high school
students for tertiary education. Our prime focus now is working with primary school
learners at some fishing communities in the coastal regions of Ghana. Our support withour learners in various tertiary institutions is still ongoing.
Below are our current projects.
MY DREAM
(AGAINST ALL ODDS)
MY DREAM is a dedicated financial aid programme that supports learners from the basic level through to tertiary education. It is designed to ease the financial burden on students throughout their academic journey.
We collaborate with foundations, institutions, individuals, families, and groups who are willing and able to support our learners from entry level to completion.
Some of these partners include the GETFund, the Scholarship Secretariat, the Mastercard Scholars Foundation, Ashesi University, and Black Star Excellence (a U.S.-based group of Ghanaian women committed to financially supporting Ghanaian students).
I MADE IT
(MENTORING AND NURTURING)
I MADE IT is a development and empowerment programme. To be selected, a child must MAKE IT and continue to MAKE IT at multiple stages. This is because I MADE IT is a lifelong programme. We build lasting relationships with our beneficiaries, maintaining ongoing communication and support throughout their journey.
