FOCUS
FOCUS is a programme centred on improving the education and livelihood of individuals in rural communities across Ghana. We do this primarily by focusing on empowering the women in these communities because, we believe that doing so is the fastest way to enhance the socio-economic development of such communities.
So far, we have reached various communities including Bonawu, a village near Akwatia in the Eastern Region, Obenemase, a village near Konongo in the Ashanti-Akyem district (Ashanti Region) and 11 communities in the Ga West Municipal area (Akramaman, Ayikai Doblo, Domi Faase, Emmapehia, Kojo Ashong, Kofi Kwei, Kwashi Kumah, Obom, Okushibiade, Otaten and Tenbiiamii).
During our visits to these communities we engaged in various activities including:
-
Clothing Donations
-
Feeding Programs
-
Sensitization and Awareness Programs
-
Distribution of education materials to B.E.C.E candidates

Currently, we are working with the Methodist Church at Okushibiade, in the Ga West Municipal Area. Our focus in this community is threefold:
-
Carry out mass education programmes to teach the women good farming practices and dig out wells, that would help ensure good crop yields thus enabling the women, mostly single parents, to support their children in school.
-
Interact with and identify exemplary students who would be enrolled into our sponsorship programme.
-
Visit the Okushibiade Methodist Church, with packed lunch, once a month, to worship with them. This will enable us interact with the families and get first-hand information on what goes on in the community and how we can assist them to be self-reliant

Your donations and assistance will go a long way to improve the standard of living in this farming community, especially in the lives of the women and children.
